Orlando Cabrera First Red Sox Home Run Game-Used Baseball (Cabrera Became 8th Player in Red Sox History to Hit Homer in First AB With Team) PSA/DNA

 Orlando Cabrera has been a staple at the big league level because of his excellent glove-work and steady eye at the plate. On two occasions, the OC has been rewarded with Gold Gloves.

Cabrera is one of the more dependable players in MLB. More often than not, Cabrera is penciled into the lineup for the majority of games.

Cabrera made a little history when he stepped to the plate for the first time as a Boston Red Sox. The infielder connected on an offering from Twins starter Johan Santana for a home run to left field.

This OML (Selig) ball was the actual ball hit by Cabrera, who became only the eighth player in franchise history to hit a homer during his first AB with the team.

"8th player and Boston history to Hit a Home Run And His first At Bat As A Red Sox" is written on a side panel. A separate panel reveals the following: "8-1-04 First American League Home Run off Johan Santana Minesota (sic) twins".
