1967 All-Star Game Full Ticket

Certificate No: 21734

The back of this near mint-plus specimen lists the terms by which the holder was admitted to Anaheim Stadium on July 11, 1967 for the annual mid-summer classic. What it doesn't say is what takes place when the late innings are played at dusk and the hitters are at a distinct disadvantage. Answer: The teams play eight scoreless innings before a Tony Perez home run finally gives the National League a 2-1 lead in the 15th inning and ultimately decides perhaps the greatest pitchers' duel in All-Star Game history. A pinhead-sized blemish at the upper center of the stub is all that prevents a near-mint-mint grade.

1959 All-Star Game Ticket PSA Graded

Certificate No: 16684

Major League baseball added a little twist to the All-Star game format in 1959. Instead of playing just one game, two separate Mid-Summer Classics were scheduled.. The ticket here offered was from the first of those games which was hosted by Pittsburgh. The National League prevailed when Willie Mays drove home the game-winning run in the ninth inning. This full ticket, graded PSA VG 3, has as its sole liability two small areas of mounting stains appearing on the reverse (These are transparent and haven't damaged the ply.) The ticket is without a crease, and its corners are admirable.

1971 World Series Game 1 Full Ticket (Orioles vs. Pirates)

Certificate No: 17356

The 1971 World Series marked the first time that the Fall Classic was under the lights. Now every World Series game is played at night. This amazing full ticket comes from Game 1 in Baltimore. Dave McNally was able to give the Orioles a 1-0 advantage over the Pittsburgh Pirates with a three-hit performance. In the end the Pirates prevailed in seven games. The ticket is still attached but the perforating does not hold up well. Either a coffee stain or grease spot has found its way onto this rare offering but it still has four solid corners.
