This Sidney Crosby Penguins youth jersey was signed for the team which they auctioned charity purposes. According to our consignor Crosby signed 10 of these for the team and they were auctioned off.
This signature was secured when Crosby was in the earlier stages of his remarkable career. Carefully scripted on the back "7" of the jersey is this silver paint pen masterpiece. The penning is a "10" in all aspects. This autograph differs from his rushed pennings commonly seen in the marketplace now.
All of the identifiers on this jersey are sewn-on. The "A" is reference to Crosby being an assistant captain. This was penned before his current captain status was established.
This catalog listing hales comes from David Reich, son of sports super agent of 35 years Tom Reich. Tom Reich's clients include the likes of Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, Mario Lemieux, Joe Morgan and many other legends. Reich had direct access to many of Pittsburgh's finest.
