Our nation has come a long way. Back in the 1930’s African Americans faced an uphill battle to gain acceptance in the entertainment world. The Cotton Club was a platform for performers such as Lena Horne, The Berry Brothers, Teddy Hills’s Band and Earl “Fatha” Hines to showcase their talent. Other singers and dancers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway, The Nicholas Brothers worked the black clubs in Harlem, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Detroit, and St Louis .
Many of the signatures and candid portraits have never been offered to the public for sale. They have been kept by the Cotton Club dancer’s family
Margot Webb was a headline dancer in the Cotton Club 1933-1939. She danced Waltz, Tango, Bolero with her partner Norton in the dance team of "Norton & Margot" They performed in London, Paris and Germany before WW II.

Hotcha Drew was a tap & toe dancer from the Black Circuit 1930's She was a friend of Margot of "Norton & Margot" fame.
